Women Safety

One thing make me feel happy and proud about metro. That is the safety. Seriously girls are much more safer in Delhi since start of metro. Going through my newspaper I came across an incident showing safety concerns of Delhi Metro. The incident in brief is here-
A group of girls along with there 1 male friend boarded metro from Gurgaon to Delhi. So the incident started at IFFCO chawk station. There some lousy guys passed lewd comments to the girls. On calling for help, they were helped by CISF officials. They scolded those guys and warned them and safely let the girls in next metro. But somehow those guys managed to stalk the girls and speak foul to them. But again on calling DMRC help line they were helped by CISF officials and those guys finally handed over to police under anti-stalking law.

Well this is one incident and there are such others where people are indeed helped in need by metro safety. This shows the well established safety measures by Delhi metro.
Metro is well equipped by metal detectors and necessary safety requirements. There are female officials as well and surprise checks are also often done to ensure men do not enter ladies coach. Safety is not limited to just women though. There are random visits in trains by officials in random coaches. Then we cant forget the number of security cameras all over the station premises. Proper fines are there for breach of rules and these are followed as well.

So if you are looking forward for a safe mode of travelling, definitely metro would be your choice.
